Mozzarella balls, sun dried tomatoes and basil dressing are always my favorite: the basil dressing is rich in flavor and smooth in texture, the tomatoes ae tender with a seasoned oil base while the Mozzarella balances everything with its flavor. The cheese on the bar, especially the aged Parmesan, crunches with that crystallized aged and is served out of the cheese round. Smoked salmon is one of my favorites, it is salty and loaded with the smoked taste.

Italian salami, aged Manchego, artichokes, hearts of palm, the list goes on and on. There are three different types of greens (romaine, iceberg and spinach) with a variety of toppings that aren’t your everyday toppings. The salad bar is a continuous circle, with patrons hopping in and out, in the most organized fashion. I had ordered a Malbec from the wine list and hubby a Bell’s Ale from the bar (he loves the Brazilian beer they carry, but they were out of it.) We then made our way to the salad bar. He greeted us immediately and presented us with our wine menu. I was a little nervous because I thought we wouldn’t get served as quickly, but our server Benjamin, proved me wrong (plus, I enjoyed how much more quiet it was – that main dining room was loud with people.) Luckily, we were seated immediately with our reservation and made our way to a table in one of the side rooms. We had only been there that once and were the only patrons at the time, so we were both very surprised to see the lobby and restaurant packed with guests. We had tried to call last week to add two more to the reservation, but unfortunately, they weren’t taking anymore due to how busy they were. Note: I didn’t take any photos, and I’m sorry for that, but I checked out the website, and their photos are exactly what you can expect – check them out. We had a great meal, so when I saw it was part of Devour, I secretly made us a reservation to surprise the hubs with a mid-week meal. Hubby and I first dined there in December for his work holiday party. My favorite was the top sirloin, and my husband loved the NY strip as well as the beer battered chicken.Fogo de Chao, located downtown Indianapolis, is a Brazilian Steakhouse with a lot of options. We really wanted to try the lamb and it took quite awhile before it came to our table. My husband had more from the salad bar and many things he wasn't sure about he found to be great! Meat was brought out very quickly to the table on skewers. The salad bar is included for dinner, and it was great, but I didn't taste much because I was intrigued by the meat. The sides brought out to the table were small, but they refill them anytime you finish them. Be prepared to pay for drinks each time you refill, but that is expected at this price. If you are looking for top quality meat, I recommend this place. Our reservation wasn't until 5, but they sat us at 4:40 :) I recommend an earlier dining time if you can swing it because it was busy and there was a wait when we were leaving. We walked to the mall downtown but it started raining quite a bit, so we headed in early. My husband and I went down for a nice dinner in Indianapolis. Since this service has went on for multiple years, I think it is time for management to be replaced! For the price and compared to what it was previous years this was pathetic! Then after the waitress took my credit card for payment it was another 20 minutes to get it back.

Now this sounds like a lot, but with tiny slices, there suppose to be 15 types total, and sitting for over 2 hours this was very disappointing.

Then in the 2:15 that we were there I was offered a tolal of 6 pieces of meat (2 of the same type). This year there were 12 in our party and it started with 5 missing dishes on the salad bar. The last 2 years there were just 4 of us and we were seated at the same table both years and we watched the servers walk right past our table time after time until we spoke to a manager. This is the third year in a row with the worst service of any restaraunt. My family has visited every year for 6 years over the Christmas holiday, since it is a special place for my daughter with Celiac disease, and this was the last.
